For Immediate Release

(Marion, IN) – Force Engineering is pleased to announce Jessica Hassing has claimed the World Record for the Fastest Ford Mustang and the Fastest Female in 2wd in the standing half-mile with a speed of 230.65 mph at the 2025 Indy Airstrip Attack Presented by Indiana Corn Marketing Council and First Farmers Bank & Trust. In addition to claiming the records, Hassing also won in the 2wd class on the second day of the 3-day racing event.

Hassing and the team have accomplished something that takes some years to do; in just 5 events over 3 years. Many obstacles have been overcome since the team set out to achieve this goal after their first event in 2022 to get to this point. A catastrophic oiling system failure at the May 2025 Indy event led to a blown engine and some uncertainty on if the team would make it to the August event.

Day 1 – Not the day the team was hoping for in the least bit. After several runs with no traction off the line causing the car to get sideways, tuner Tyler Hassing did a deep dive on the programing and found the issue. Hassing made one final pass for the day and secured a new personal best of 212.77mph and maintained 3rd in class.

Day 2 – Started the day in a much better position after working out the bugs on Friday. Hassing qualified first in the 2wd class with a 211.76 mph and moved on to the Semi Finals. During the Semi Finals, Hassing secured the World’s Fastest Ford Mustang and the World’s Fastest Female in 2wd in the standing half-mile with a 224.55mph and continued to hold on to first in class going in to the finals. Turned up the power a little bit and won the final with a 223.88 mph.

Day 3 - Nothing like breaking records at 9:00 in the morning, and that’s just what Hassing did. Rolled off the trailer and put down her third personal best of the weekend and claimed the illusive 230 mph jacket with a 230.65 mph. Unfortunately, this would be the only pass of the day after a malfunction with the parachute damaged it making it unusable.

Jessica Hassing - “I still can’t believe it, we set out with a goal of 230 mph and the way things started out this year it seemed unattainable. Claiming the record is just the beginning and I expect big things to come as we start making the necessary plans for our next goal of 250 mph. Tyler has worked so hard and never backs down from letting me chase my goals in his car, I can’t do this without him or all of the amazing partners and support we have backing us.”

Tyler Hassing - “It is nice to have met our 230 mph goal. The half- mile presents unique challenges as it requires you to manage power early on, then make as much as possible down track. That challenge is why I enjoy it so much and I’m excited to work towards our next goal.”

Hassing’s appearance this year at the Indy Airstrip Attack is made possible through our partners; Garrett – Advancing Motion, Wiseco Performance Products, Haltech, Fuel Factory, K1 Race Gear, Bell Racing, and Quality Graphix “We are fortunate to have partners who are so generous and into racing, actively participating in our racing program,” remarks Hassing.
